Arbon holds the records a service business needs to run. We never sell that business data. The one thing we may sell is the email and figures of a visitor who ticks a separate box on our free calculator, and anyone can stop that at any time.

Two kinds of data, two different rules

If you run your business on Arbon, everything in it belongs to you: your clients, their properties, your jobs, your team's hours, photos and invoices. We hold it to run the software for you. We do not sell it, share it with advertisers or use it to market to your clients. That does not change.

If you use the free calculator on our website and ask us to email you your numbers, you are a visitor to us, not a customer's client. The rest of this page says what happens to those details.

What the calculator collects

Your email address, the wage, crew size and hours you set on the sliders, the cost of an hour the calculator worked out, and the date. We use them to send you the breakdown you asked for and, if you tick that box, the occasional note on pricing.

When we sell it, and to whom

Only if you tick the box that says we may. It is never ticked for you, it is separate from the box about our own emails, and leaving it unticked changes nothing about what you get.

If you tick it, we may sell these details:

  • email address
  • the hourly wage you set in the calculator
  • the true cost of an hour it worked out

Who buys it

Companies that sell to cleaning and other service businesses. Each buyer signs a contract that limits them to marketing their own services to you, forbids reselling it, and requires them to delete it within 12 months. The kinds of company:

  • payroll and HR providers
  • business insurers
  • cleaning supply companies
  • lenders and payment companies for small businesses

Stopping it

Use the Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information page, linked at the foot of every page. Enter your email and we stop including it from then on. No account, no reason, no confirmation email.

If your browser sends the Global Privacy Control signal, we treat it as that same request and do not sell your details, whatever you tick.

We do not knowingly sell the details of anyone under 16.

Your rights

Wherever you live, you can ask what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, and opt out of its sale. California residents have these rights under the CCPA, and we will not treat you differently for using them. Write to help@arbon.app and we will answer within 45 days.

We keep calculator details for two years from your last request, or until you ask us to delete them.

What we never hold

We do not run payroll, so we do not ask for or store Social Security numbers, bank details or anything else a payroll provider needs. We store the expiry date of a document and the file itself, never an identity number.

We never see a card number. Payments run through Stripe, and your card and every receipt stay with them.

Who can see business data

Only people you invite, and only as much as their role allows. Field staff do not see prices, margins or other clients. Access codes for a property are encrypted and revealed only on the day, only to the crew assigned.

Taking it with you

Export all of your records and files whenever you like. Delete your account and we remove it after thirty days, which is there so an accident can be undone, not so we can keep it.

This is a draft

Effective 2026-10-28. Details collected before that date were collected under a policy that promised not to sell them, and they are never sold. This page states what the software actually does. It has not yet been reviewed by a lawyer and is not a substitute for one.
